本书是四川思想家研究中心主办的儒家思想理论辑刊，每年出版两辑，此为第28辑。本书所称的“当代儒学”，是指改革开放以来尤其是21世纪以来的儒学复兴中所出现的新的儒家思想创造、新的儒学理论形态，旨在回应当今时代的呼唤、解决当今社会的问题。辑刊通过对当代儒学的研究与评介，推动儒学复兴、中华文化复兴；着眼于儒家的“活的思想”，推进当代儒学的思想原创、理论建构，推出当代儒学的重要学派、代表人物。每辑的栏目大致有当代儒家思想探索、当代儒家理论建构、当代儒家学派评介、当代儒家文献研究、当代儒学观察家、当代名儒访谈录等。

主编杨永明，四川思想家研究中心主任、宜宾学院唐君毅研究所所长、教授，主要研究中国近现代史和现代新儒家思想。执行主编郭萍，现任职于山东大学儒学高等研究院，主要研究儒家哲学、中西比较哲学。
